God has blessed me with a beautiful family that I love leading and serving alongside. It has been a privilege to serve Cornerstone as the lead pastor since April of 2014. I enjoy all things sports and outdoors, especially playing pickleball with my lovely wife! My prayer is that Cornerstone will be a bright light in our community for the glory of God.

Hey! I'm Mike. I am not only new to CBC but to Texas as well having moved from Oregon in July of 2022. I am so incredibly blessed to be here and to see what God is going to do at CBC. I have been in ministry since 2016. I have a wife, Brittany, and 2 daughters, Noelle and Faith. If you want to hang out I am always down to play some disc golf, board games or video games.

Hey! My name is Brandi Newton and I have grown up at Cornerstone all my life. I love being able to worship with my church family every Sunday!! I have been married to my wonderful husband John since 2001. We have 3 awesome kiddos, Caden, Jace and Maddie! Outside of church I am a choir teacher at Berry Middle School. I love to read, go on walks and runs and spend time with my family!! Can't wait to meet you at Cornerstone Baptist of Mesquite!!!

I have been happily married to Dan since December of 1995 and we have been blessed with four children, a son-in-law, and our first grandson expected to arrive in June of 2023. I enjoy working part-time in the office at Cornerstone Baptist and serving the Lord along with Dan in the role of Pastor's wife since April 2014. In my free time I enjoy playing pickleball with Dan a couple times a week for exercise and playing a variety of games with our children.
Dawson & Kayla Schoening

Kayla and I both grew up here in the Dallas area and Kayla is Pastor Dan's daughter. We met and started dating in high school. We graduated together in 2018 and we both left Texas to attend Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO to study and train to be missionaries. We got married in May of 2021 and we graduated college in May of 2023. Now we are serving a one year missions internship here at Cornerstone in hopes to one day reach the mission field as BBFI career missionaries.
